Questions & answers

Who holds the permit — the company or the employee?

The permit is issued to the employer for a specific foreign hire. The Kazakh company is the applicant; the employee supplies personal documents.

Is a work permit always required?

No. The law provides exemptions — for certain executives, Astana Hub participants and other cases. We confirm whether one applies during the assessment.

What is an intra-corporate transfer?

It's a transfer of an employee from a foreign company to its Kazakh branch, office or subsidiary. Separate conditions apply, including prior service within the group.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the category, number of hires and whether documents need legalisation. We give an exact quote after the assessment.

Do you guarantee approval?

The decision rests with the authorities, so no one can guarantee it. We minimise refusal risk through precise documents and the right legal route.
